Various parking areas are available on the Education Campus depending on authorization. Discounted parking rates apply to CampusCard holders of the Bildungscampus. All important topics concerning parking areas, rates and entry & exit are summarized here.

Where can students and employees park at a discount on the Bildungscampus?

On entry using the CampusCard, discounted parking is available to students in the Parkplatz Ost and the Parkhaus Ost parking facilities and to employees in the Parkhaus Mitte. Entry and exit as well as payment is effected via the credit balance on the CampusCard. The credit balance can be topped up online via the PaymentPortal or at the on-site top up terminals. Entry using the CampusCard is only possible, if the CampusCard has previously been registered in the PaymentPortal. The CampusCard must be validated on site and have a credit balance prior to exit. All terminals for validating the CampusCard can be found on the Site Plan under Service.

How does entry and exit function using the CampusCard?

Students may park in the respectively authorized parking facilities at discounted rates. For entry and exit, the CampusCard is held against the card reader at the barrier, as usual. Upon exit, payment is automatically deducted from the credit balance on the CampusCard. Therefore, please top up your card after registration. The credit balance can be topped up online via the PaymentPortal or on-site using the top up terminals.

Important: Entry using the CampusCard is only possible, if the CampusCard has previously been registered in the PaymentPortal. The CampusCard must have sufficient credit and must be validated on site prior to exit. All machines for validating the CampusCard can be found on the Site Plan under Service. For entry without prior registration of the CampusCard, standard parking rates (paper ticket) apply. Which rates apply to CampusCard holders?

Discounted parking rates apply to students and employees when using the CampusCard to enter the parking facilities on the Bildungscampus. Students may use the Parkhaus Ost and Parkplatz Ost parking facilities, whereas employees may use the Parkhaus Mitte. Depending on the parking duration, the following parking fees will be deducted from the CampusCard upon exit: a fee of 1.50 euro/hour will be charged for each hour begun. From the 3rd hour onwards, a day ticket costing 3.00 euros will be charged. A 3.00 euro/hour nighttime rate applies between 3am and 6am. Alternatively, CampusCard holders may book a 30-day ticket for 40.00 euros via the PaymentPortal. Standard non-discounted parking rates apply to visitors who do not hold a CampusCard. Is there a short-term parking fee for dropping off and picking up school children?

Short-stay visitors to the Bildungscampus are advised to drive into the Parkhaus Mitte and draw a standard paper ticket. Parking fees are only charged if the parking duration exceeds 15 minutes. In addition to that there is a “Kiss & Ride Zone“ behind the Josef-Schwarz-Schule Heilbronn (Bildungscampus 10/Gaswerkstraße).

How does the 30-day parking ticket work?

Students and employees who have a CampusCard may book a 30-day ticket. This is flexible, may overlap from month to month, and is always valid for 30 calendar days in a row. The start date can be individually defined during the booking process and is then valid for 30 calendar days. The 30-day ticket must be booked in advance in the PaymentPortal and is stored on the CampusCard. The 30-day ticket does not include a parking bay reservation or lease of a parking space. A vacant parking bay cannot be guaranteed. Visitors who do not hold a CampusCard cannot book a 30-day ticket.

Where can I book a 30-day parking ticket?

It is only possible to book a 30-day ticket via the CampusCard PaymentPortal.

Can the 30-day parking ticket be changed or cancelled after booking?

Subsequent changes or cancellations are not currently possible.

Is the validity of the 30-day parking ticket extended, if I don’t use it?

No. The ticket is valid for 30 consecutive calendar days irrespective of its use. The validity period is determined at the time of booking the 30-day ticket in the PaymentPortal. Note: In the event of very irregular use of the parking facilities, it may be cheaper to purchase day tickets costing 3.00 euros each.

Is the 30-day parking ticket renewed automatically?

No. There is no automatic renewal. The ticket can always be booked again as required in the PaymentPortal. An automatic reminder is sent by e-mail shortly before expiration of the 30-day ticket.

May a 30-day parking ticket be shared with other people?

No. This is not possible because entry and exit is granted using the personalized CampusCard.

Is there a guaranteed parking space with the 30-day ticket?

No. The 30-day ticket does not include a parking space reservation or lease. A vacant parking bay cannot be guaranteed.

Is it possible to lease a permanent parking space?

No. No permanent parking spaces are offered for lease on the Bildungscampus in the Parkhaus Mitte/Ost or in the Parkplatz Ost parking facilities.

FAQs Payment & Credit

How is payment of the parking fees effected?

CampusCard holders park at discounted rates. Enter or exit the car park or parking facilities by holding the CampusCard against the card reader, as usual. Parking fees for hourly or daily parking are automatically deducted from the CampusCard credit balance upon exit. The credit balance can be topped up online via the PaymentPortal or at the on-site top up terminals. Note: It is possible to set up automatic credit top up on the CampusCard. Furthermore, CampusCard holders receive an e-mail if the credit balance of the card falls below 3.00 euros. The 30-day ticket must be booked in advance in the PaymentPortal. The ticket is automatically stored on the CampusCard and is recognized by the card reader. No additional fees are incurred upon entry or exit.

External Bildungscampus visitors receive a paper ticket at the barrier, and this has to be validated at the ticket machine prior to exit.

I drew a paper parking ticket - may I pay for it using the CampusCard?

No. If a paper ticket is drawn, the ticket must be validated at the ticket machines prior to exit. Discounted parking rates in the designated parking facilities only apply, if the CampusCard is used at entry. In this case, payment is deducted from the credit balance of the CampusCard upon exit.

How can I obtain a receipt for paid parking fees?

An overview of all CampusCard transactions over the last 500 days is displayed in the PaymentPortal using the "My transactions" function. If 30-day parking tickets are booked to the CampusCard using the PaymentPortal, there is a small, blue “P” symbol on the right side of each row which can be used to open the receipt as a PDF file and to download it. In addition, each time a booking is made, e-mail confirmation is sent to the registered e-mail address.

Where can you look up the current credit balance?

The current credit balance is displayed at the barrier system on entry and exit. In addition, the credit can be viewed and topped up at any time in the PaymentPortal. The on-site top up terminals also display the current credit balance. You can find an overview of the top up terminals here.

Do I receive notification if the credit balance is empty?

Each user receives an e-mail if the credit balance of the CampusCard drops below the threshold value of 3.00 euros.

How can I top up the CampusCard credit balance?

The CampusCard can be conveniently topped up online via the PaymentPortal using a credit card or SEPA direct debit. In addition to the preferred payment method, an automatic top-up function for a certain threshold value can also be activated here (currently for SEPA direct debit). There are also top-up terminals on the Bildungscampus which, depending on the terminal, offer top up with cash or via the EC and credit card.

Can you drive into the parking facilities without prior registration in the PaymentPortal?

Up until the end of August, use of the respectively authorized parking facilities is free of charge using the CampusCard (Students Parkhaus Ost and Parkplatz Ost parking facilities; employees Parkhaus Mitte). Students may park on the respectively authorized parking facilities at discounted rates.

Since September, it is only possible to enter using the CampusCard, if the CampusCard has previously been registered in the PaymentPortal. The CampusCard must be validated on site and have a credit balance prior to exit. All CampusCard validation terminals can be found on the Site Plan under Service. May I drive in and out as often as I like using a day ticket or a 30-day ticket?

Yes. Within the validity of the day ticket (6.00am until 3.00am), as well as within the validity period of the booked 30-day ticket, unrestricted entries and exits using the CampusCard are permitted without incurring additional fees.

Is it possible to enter or exit the car park/parking facilities even if there is no credit or the credit balance of the CampusCard is insufficient?

Entry with the registered and validated CampusCard is possible at all times. In order to drive out, there must be sufficient credit on the CampusCard to cover the parking duration and the associated fees. Note: Use the “Automatic top up” function in the PaymentPortal. When the credit balance of your CampusCard falls below an amount defined by yourself, the CampusCard will automatically be topped up by a previously defined amount. Furthermore, each CampusCard holder receives an e-mail reminder via the digital account in the PaymentPortal as soon as the current credit balance falls below 3.00 euros.

I lost my CampusCard during the parking time. How can I drive out and which fees are incurred?

The CampusCard can be registered online as lost at any time via the PaymentPortal using the “Request Replacement Card” function under “My Data”. As such, the card is blocked and triggers the printing of a replacement card.
Please note: The printing of a replacement card may be subject to fees. If it is not possible to block the card via the PaymentPortal, the loss of the CampusCard can also be reported to the issuing institution in exceptional cases. It is possible to leave the car park using a so-called “loss ticket”. These can be obtained at the parking terminals upon payment of a fee.
