More accessibility - today and in the future

The Bildungscampus Heilbronn is sending out a clear signal for inclusion and health promotion. With the start of the pilot phase for the new period product dispensers, we are taking an important step towards an even more liveable and needs-oriented campus.

Implementation: The dispensers have been placed as follows:

  • In the central campus buildings (e.g. library entrance on the ground floor, auditorium in BC6 on the ground floor and in the canteen in BC8).
  • In the office areas (e.g. BC9 on the 8th floor, office space in BC6).
  • In special functional areas (e.g. conference area in BC6 on the 1st floor, artists' checkroom in BC6).
  • In areas of partner institutions (e.g. TU Munich in Weipertstraße on the 1st floor, BC14 of Applied University Heilbronn on the ground floor).

Each dispenser is stocked with 200 tampons and 50 pads, which should cover the estimated need for about four months.

We want to actively promote menstrual health and directly support menstruating students and staff by providing free and low-threshold access to hygiene products. In doing so, we are removing an everyday barrier that can unnecessarily impair well-being and concentration. At the same time, this pilot phase serves to carefully evaluate the actual use and acceptance of this offer in order to create a sound basis for the future planning and scaling of the dispenser network to the entire campus. It is an important step in ensuring an inclusive and worry-free campus experience.
